Square, identity and city

Located on Avenida Constitución in Mar del Plata, the project understands commercial architecture as an opportunity to build urban value. More than a collection of retail units, it proposes a piece capable of articulating activity, public space and identity.

The main operation consists of freeing the street frontage to create a square that widens the pavement, incorporates vegetation and transforms arrival into an experience. This void does not function as leftover space, but as a place of encounter and permanence that strengthens the relationship between the building and the city.

The intermediate space

Arcades, canopies and semi-covered areas build a sequence of transitions between the public and the private. These intermediate spaces protect, connect and enrich everyday experience, allowing commercial, gastronomic, sports and service activities to naturally connect with urban life.

A unified identity

The architecture seeks to give coherence to a diverse programme. Through a composition of volumes, transparencies, metal planes and lighting, the complex builds a contemporary and recognisable image, where each activity gains presence without losing the unity of the whole.

Lightness and flexibility

Metal construction makes it possible to span large distances, maximise flexibility of use and consolidate a precise, lightweight architectural expression. Structure, envelope and landscape work in an integrated way to build an open, active and contemporary atmosphere.
