La Casa Cronos se encuentra ubicada en Pinamar, costa atlántica de Buenos Aires. El proyecto responde al encargo de construir una casa para vacacionar en verano y en invierno en pleno contacto con la naturaleza. El terreno, en su estado natural, presenta una importante cantidad de coníferas características en la zona, un suelo arenoso y visuales abiertas hacia el bosque.
La generación formal se resuelve como una adición de volúmenes que pretenden adentrarse en el bosque, generando distintas visuales y protegiéndose de los vientos del oeste. La pureza del blanco irrumpe en el paisaje buscando generar un contraste que valorice tanto la naturaleza del bosque como la artificialidad de la arquitectura.
La casa se eleva sobre pilotes separándose del terreno, fortaleciendo el contraste entre la casa y el paisaje y generando el menor impacto posible sobre el terreno. El proyecto se materializa con el sistema constructivo metálico Steel Frame, con cerramiento exterior de chapa acanalada blanca y carpinterías de aluminio blanco.
Casa Cronos is located in Pinamar, on the Atlantic coast of Buenos Aires. The project responds to the commission to build a house for vacationing in summer and winter in full contact with nature. The plot, in its natural state, features a significant number of conifers characteristic of the area, sandy soil and open views towards the forest.
The formal generation is resolved as an addition of volumes that seek to penetrate the forest, generating different views and shielding from the western winds. The purity of white breaks into the landscape seeking to generate a contrast that enhances both the natural quality of the forest and the artificiality of architecture.
The house is raised on stilts, separating from the ground, reinforcing the contrast between the house and the landscape and generating the minimum possible impact on the terrain. The project is materialised with the Steel Frame metal construction system, with a white corrugated sheet metal exterior cladding and white aluminium joinery.
