El edificio se ubica en la ciudad de Mar del Plata, a pocas cuadras de la "Vieja Terminal" transformada en el nuevo Centro Comercial, Paseo Aldrey. El sector urbano, atravesado por una transformación urbana, se caracteriza por su alta densidad y tejido heterogéneo.
El proyecto surge de la necesidad de varias familias de cambiar de lugar de residencia de vivienda unifamiliar a edificio de departamentos. Para esto se proyectó un edificio de imagen sintética y planta flexible, que contiene distintas tipologías de departamentos, pensadas a medida de cada familia.
El edificio fue pensado para que las áreas públicas no interfieran con la privacidad de los departamentos, por éste motivo y para optimizar la circulación del público, se dispone el quincho en el primer piso, sobre el hall de acceso.
La relación del edificio con el espacio urbano se enriquece a partir del diseño del hall de acceso en doble altura y la terraza del quincho.
The building is located in the city of Mar del Plata, a few blocks from the "Old Bus Terminal" transformed into the new Shopping Centre, Paseo Aldrey. The urban sector, traversed by an urban transformation, is characterised by its high density and heterogeneous fabric.
The project arises from the need of several families to change their place of residence from single-family housing to an apartment building. For this purpose, a building of synthetic image and flexible floor plan was designed, containing different apartment typologies, tailored to each family.
The building was conceived so that the public areas do not interfere with the privacy of the apartments; for this reason, and to optimise the circulation of visitors, the barbecue area is placed on the first floor, above the entrance hall.
The relationship of the building with the urban space is enriched by the design of the double-height entrance hall and the barbecue terrace.
